Contre Jour by Frédéric Malle is a unisex eau de parfum composed by Annick Ménardo and scheduled for release in 2026. The composition is built around the Mediterranean everlasting flower (immortelle), a note the brand highlights for its radiant yellow aspect and enduring, slightly untamed character, contrasted with a heart of spicy rose absolute and a base of smooth sandalwood. Rather than an extensive note list, the fragrance focuses on this streamlined three-material structure, presented as a gender-inclusive scent that explores contrasts of light and shadow, brightness and depth, through the interplay of immortelle, rose and sandalwood.
